(Guidance/Misguidance)

There is a beautiful, eye-opening verse in the Qur'an where Allah says in chapter 6 verse 125:

=

"So whoever Allah wants to guide- He expands his breast towards submission (Islam); and whoever He wants to send astray (as a result of the person's arrogance and persistence in sin) - He makes his breast tight and constricted as though he were ascending up the sky. Thus does Allah place defilement upon those who do not believe."

In this verse, Allah the Almighty shows us that for those he desires to guide, Allah will expand their chest towards Islam, casting a light into their hearts so that they believe in Allah’s signs and are convinced by the truth. In essence, the believer will feel self-tranquility and peace in practicing Islam, with no doubts, hesitations, or burdens. This is a clear sign that Allah has blessed this person with guidance.

Meanwhile, those who Allah desires to send astray will be burdened with a tight, constricted chest that lacks tranquility and peace. The heart of these people is drawn to suspicions and desires and every good deed is a burden to their hears. Allah describes the tightness they feel as if there are climbing up to the sky, where they would feel constricted. Thus, these people are lost and miss out on the peace and blessings of Islam due to their disbelief.

So, who gives (Zakat and goodness and performs the obligations to worship Allah) and fears Allah (by avoiding sinning) and believes in the best (which is monotheism = there's no God but Allah) He the Almighty will ease them towards ease (away from problems and towards every goodness).

But as for who withholds and considers themselves free of need (to do as obliged and worship the Creator) and denies the best (which is monotheism = there's no God but Allah) He the Almighty will ease them towards difficulty (towards problems and away from every goodness).

Additionally, the reader would do well to consider the surrounding context: what leads up to 6:125 (and much of what follows) describes those who insinuate themselves and their lies into the business of serving God, and attempt to overturn what God himself revealed. The entire point is that God (not a "religion") guides.

- Note to You:

If you stumbled across our site or any other websites at that matter, if you as much as heard or read the name of Islam or anything related to it; Please do check around the topic. Islam makes every other religion or believe rise self-doubt questions, and if you're questioning something you should definitely look into it. If you're right and you didn't find anything helpful, it wouldn't harm you, right? In fact it'll make you more confident in what you believe, right?

It is a right upon yourself to know the truth. So never miss these opportunities to know the truth! We're all here to win something, we don't tie our secular success on our people, then how could we tie our real life and future on them when it comes to believing in what's true?

Islam encourages knowledge, you're not meant to live in ignorance. We have to research, to think, ponder, and to reflect.

I read the revert story of Scott Lynch a few days ago, and I'm fascinated and quite touched on how Allah led him to Islam after spending years of studying Christianity and Judaism:

On of the people we introduced to Islam asked me (What does Islam offer?)

★: Islam offers Monotheism, a direct connection with Allah our Creator, protection, a detailed suitable lifestyle, guidance, peace & tranquility, humility, a role model to look up to (Muhammad pbuh) to gain the best version of your character, unity with cooperation, true knowledge both secular or religious, and paradise.

“Verily, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book for mankind in truth. So whosoever accepts the guidance, it is only for his own self; and whosoever goes astray, he goes astray only for his own loss.” Qur’an 39:41

Don’t you owe it to yourself to at least read this Noble Book?
